  The wheel nuts on my 18 year old daughters Beetle came loose and she was alarmed by the noise so went to Cousins. They tightened them up and charged £33. We had no choice but to pay as they had the car and refused to return it unless they were paid. I regard £33 to tighten 5 nuts excessive and will not be using them again. I use Thomson Motor Repairs in Paignton for my Mercedes and Victor Barry in Plympton for other cars and you can trust them not to rip you off. I'm lucky to be able to write it off to experience but for some people opportunistic overcharging like this is a disaster and it gives the motor industry a bad name. Dr Martin Rankin of Rattery Mill.
